Transfer the image

After you format and make your SD bootable, you're ready to transfer the image to it.

The QNX IPL reset vector offset is 0x8000 bytes. When you copy your QNX IPL to the SD, you must copy it to this offset. Linux host allow you to copy the image to a specific offset using the dd command in a terminal. On a Windows host, you must use the CFImager tool.

Provided with your BSP are prebuilt files that you can use. Alternatively, if you make modifications to the buildfile, you can rebuild the IFS and IPL. For information about building your BSP, see the Build the BSP section in this chapter.
