Attach the USB and other cables to the appropriate hardware
connectors.
Connectors
The following ports, connectors and buttons are of most interest when you begin working with your Jacinto 7 J784S4 EVM board. To connect and work with the hardware, you need to do the following:
ensure that the DIP Switches SW2, SW4, SW7, SW11, SW13, and SW16 are set properly. For more information, see the Configure the board switches section in this chapter.
connect the provided USB to serial cable to the J44 connector on the board

Configure the board switches
You must configure the following DIP switches for the board as follows:
For EVM Configuration Switch (SW7) and (SW11), ensure that you have the eight DIP switches
set to these positions (listed from 1-8):
(SW7) OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF
(SW11) ON OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF ON OFF
The following diagram shows how SW7 and SW11 should appear on the board:

For the Board Configuration Settings (SW2), ensure that you have the ten DIP switches
set to these positions (listed from 1-10):

set to these positions (listed from 1-2):
