Resource manager that provides access to the NXP i.MX8-based GPIOs

Syntax:

gpio-imx8x [-N path]
           [-U [uid[:gid[,sup_gid]*]]] OR
           [-U [user_name[,sup_gid]]]

Options:

Here are the options you can use with the gpio-imx8x command:

-N path
Specify the location where the GPIO resource manager will attach. The default path is /dev/gpio.
-U uid[:gid][,sup_gid]* or
-U user_name[,,sup_gid]*
Run as the given user (or uid) with the given group ids. Note that if the user is specified by name, the given groups are added to that user's group list. If the user is specified by uid and no groups are listed, the process inherits the parent process' group list.
Note:
The physical pins must be configured as a GPIO in the IO multiplexer (IOMUX) during startup.
