You must attach the appropriate connectors to your hardware.

Before you can work with the board, here are a few things you must do. You'll need to set up the AMD Ryzen V2000 Sapphire IPC-FP6 Board. For more information, see the User manual at https://cdn.sapphiretech.global/assets/embedded_products/manuals/IPC-FP6%20user%20manual%2020211001.pdf on the Sapphire website. The following is an overview of how to set up the AMD Ryzen V2000 Sapphire IPC-FP6.

Connect the hardware

Note:
For information about AMD Ryzen V2000 Sapphire IPC-FP6 Board hardware setup and BIOS configuration, see the platform or user manual for your board . These guides are usually available on the vendor's website.
CAUTION:

Use only the DC power supply provided with the board. Use of any other power supply may permanently damage the board.

  1. Connect the USB serial device to the board as the serial port. To use this device, you require a USB serial device driver on your host development machine to establish a terminal session with the target. You need to install an FTDI driver on your host system to use it.
  2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Connector CN3 on the board.
  3. Connect the provided power supply to the board.
  4. For Console Access: Connect the 9-pin to DB9 splitter (provided in the box) to the COM2 port on the board.
  5. Connect to the COM port using your favorite terminal program with these settings. :
    • Baud rate: 115200
    • Data: 8 bit
    • Parity: none
    • Stop: 1 bit
    • Flow control: none
