        Download and set up the BSP
        You can download Board Support Packages (BSPs) using the QNX Software Center.
        Connect and configure the hardware
        Before you transfer your BSP to your board, you must configure the board DIP switches, and connect the board and peripherals.
        Prepare a bootable microSD
        You can prepare a bootable microSD on a Linux or Windows host system. We recommend that you use Class 10 (or UHS-1) microSD cards.
        Preparing the microSD to boot the board
        You can prepare your microSD to boot using U-Boot.

        You can use the QNX Momentics IDE or the commandline on Linux or Windows to build an image.

Typographical Conventions, Support, and Licensing
This section describes the typographical conventions used throughout the documentation, explains how to obtain technical support, and provides some information about licensing.

Installation Notes

These installation notes describe how to use this BSP to boot your board with the QNX OS.

Download the BSP, set up your environment, and extract the BSP. For more information, see the Download and set up the BSP section in this chapter.
Connect your target board. After you connect the hardware, it may be necessary to set DIP switches on your board. For an overview of how to connect to your board, see the Connect and configure the hardware section in this chapter.
Create a bootable SD. For more information about how to create a bootable SD see the Prepare a bootable microSD section in this chapter.
After you create a bootable SD, copy the prebuilt image that comes with this BSP to the SD. For more information about preparing your SD, see the Prepare a bootable microSD section in this chapter.
Insert the SD into your board and boot your board from the SD.

After your board boots, you can use that image to understand how it works. Depending on the other devices that you've connected to the board, you may need to modify configuration settings on the image.

At some point, you may want to customize the buildfile and rebuild the image. For specific information about building the image for this board, see the Build the BSP chapter in this guide. For generic information about modifying and building an image, see the Building Embedded Systems guide in the QNX SDP 8.0 documentation.
