Before You Begin

Before you begin working with this BSP you should become familiar with the resources available to you when building QNX embedded systems.

Essential information

Before you install your BSP, review the following documentation:

Required software

To work with this BSP, you require the following:
  • The prebuilt BOOT.BIN binary which consists of a series of boot asset files including U-boot and DTB. The release archive can be downloaded from the Xilinx Releases wiki at https://xilinx-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/A/pages/18842316/Linux+Prebuilt+Images .
  • BSP ZIP file for the board.
  • QNX Software Development Platform 8.0 installed on a Linux or Windows host system.
  • CP210x USB to UART bridge Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver on your host development machine to establish a terminal session with the board USB. You can download the appropriate device driver for Linux or Windows from the Silicon Labs website at https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers.
  • A terminal emulation program (Qtalk, Hyperterminal, PuTTy, etc.) to connect to the board for debugging. Alternatively, you can use a ssh session from the QNX Momentics IDE with username qnxuser and password qnxuser.
    Warning:
QNX does not recommend hardcoded passwords on systems and that the BSP is configured like this for developer purposes only. For more information, see Systems without passwords in the QNX OS System Security Guide in the QNX SDP 8.0 documentation.
