Installation Notes
These installation notes describe how to build, work with, and run this BSP.
Overview
Here's the process to install and use this BSP:
- Download the BSP, set up your environment, and extract the BSP. For more information, see
Download and set up the BSP in this chapter.
- Connect your target board (refer to the hardware documentation).
- Build the BSP to create the QNX IFS files. For more information, see
Build the BSP
in this chapter. - Prepare the microSD card to load QNX IFS onto the board. For more information, see
Prepare microSD to install QNX IFS
in this chapter. - Install QNX OS and boot the board:
- You can manually configure the board to boot QNX Neutrino. For more information about booting the board, see
Prepare microSD to install QNX IFS
andInstall QNX IFS
in this chapter. After this step, your board will be running QNX OS.
- You can manually configure the board to boot QNX Neutrino. For more information about booting the board, see
After your board boots, you can use the image to understand how it works. Depending on the other devices that you've connected to the board, you may need to modify configuration settings on the image.
At some point, you may want to customize the image to suite your specific requirements.
To do this, you must modify the buildfile and rebuild the image.
For specific information about building the image for this board, see the Build the BSP
chapter
in this guide. For generic information about modifying and building an image,
see the Building Embedded Systems guide in the QNX SDP 8.0 documentation.
