Endian-swap a 64-bit value in place
Synopsis:
#include <gulliver.h>
void ENDIAN_SWAP64( uint64_t * num );
Arguments:
- num
- A pointer to the number you want to convert.
Library:
libc
Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.
Description:
The ENDIAN_SWAP64() macro endian-swaps the value pointed to by num in place.
Examples:
Swap the endianness of a value:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <gulliver.h>
#include <inttypes.h>
int main( void )
{
uint64_t val = 0x1234deadbeef5678LL;
ENDIAN_SWAP16( &val );
printf( "val = 0x%016x\n", val );
return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
This prints:
val = 0x7856efbeadde3412
