About This Reference

The introspection API (IAPI) allows the collection of system information and process inspection without using the /proc filesystem. It also allows registration for notifications of crashing processes and handling of those events to create core dumps. The API supports the reading of a process's memory, process and thread states, and getting notification of a crashing process.
