Using the Command Line

QNX SDP8.0User's GuideUser
Like QNX 4, Unix, and DOS, the QNX OS is based on a command-line interface that you might want or need to use instead of the GUI.
For developing software, you don't always have to use the command line;
on Linux and Windows,
you can use our Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that provides a graphical way to write, build, and test code.
The IDE frequently uses QNX OS utilities,
but hides
the command line from you.
For more information, see the IDE
User's Guide.
