QNX Software Systems Connects with Clarinox Technologies to Deliver Bluetooth and Wireless Solutions

  • NÜRNBERG, Embedded World 2007, February 13 - Embedded designers seeking short-range wireless solutions for embedded applications and devices can now take advantage of the partnership of two embedded industry experts.

    QNX Software Systems, a world leader in realtime, embedded OS technology, and Clarinox Technologies Pty Ltd, Australia, a leading provider of embedded systems, announced an alliance to offer comprehensive Bluetooth™ products and services to clients utilizing the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS). The combined product and service expertise of both companies will facilitate the delivery of solutions for corporate entities covering a range of vertical markets globally.

    The ClarinoxSoftFrame middleware, ClarinoxBlue Bluetooth stack, and RFID suite (EPC Global compatible server and reader) are all available for QNX Neutrino-based systems, running on an SBC84600, 600MHz fanless VIA Eden single board computer with 1GB flash disk and 512MB RAM.

    QNX Software Systems is a leading provider of RTOS and software solutions for mission-critical embedded applications and in-car infotainment systems. QNX technology forms the basis of many wireless and Bluetooth-enabled devices found in vehicles from DaimlerChrysler, Honda, Toyota, and a variety of other automakers.

    By joining the QNX Partner Program, Clarinox will leverage QNX’s global reach and enable QNX to extend its current Bluetooth offerings.
