__SRCVERSION macro   ________________________________________________________________________ Applicable Environment ________________________________________________________________________ Topic: __SRCVERSION macro SDP: 6.4.1, 6.5.0 Target: Any supported target ________________________________________________________________________ Recommendation ________________________________________________________________________ The __SRCVERSION macro is defined in the header file sys/srcversion.h and causes the string given with the macro to be included into the resulting binary as a special section. This way, the origin and version of all source files used to build an executable can be extracted from the binary, to allow a precise reference/rebuild if necessary. ________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: This entry has been validated against the SDP version listed above.
