QNX Software Center: Inaccessible Packages

Issue

The following information is applicable for QSC Version 2.0 or newer. If you have an older version, please update to the latest available version to take advantage of the latest/greatest QSC features.

QNX Software Center may display QPKGs that you are not allowed to install. There are two places where you may encounter these packages:
  • "All" tab "Inaccessible" folder
  • "Add Installation" package tagged with "INACCESSIBLE"

To determine why the QPKG or installation is unavailable to you, you need to CHECK THE PROPERTIES of the package:
  • Right click on the QPKG -> Properties -> General Information -> Inaccessible
  • This should provide the information similar to:
Insufficient Entitlements or Missing Click-through Agreements
Check why at <link>
  • You must be logged in (to the browser) with your myQNX in order to view the <link>
  • The link will provide details about what is required to get access to the QPKG, example:
To access this page you must complete the following:
* You must have a copy of <PRODUCT> deployed to your account

Recommendation

Depending on the message, you will need to work with your company's QNX License manager(s) in order to get the appropriate product/plan licenses assigned to you. If your company does not have the required products/plans, you may want to contact your QNX account rep to discuss options.
