The PCI device names are listed in the /etc/system/config/pci/pcidatabase.com-tab_delimited.txt file. If the string is missing, then pci-tool -v will just print "<device id - unknown>".
For example. On the Intel NUC board there is no device string for Intel device 1570.
By adding "1570 Ethernet I219-V" below the "8086" vendor group the PCI device will show up with name.
