Issue________________________________________________________________________
On a Windows host, you attempt to activate 6.5 (or earlier) license.
Activation reports success. You attempt to use Momentics or tools and
you see "License Check failed"
Background:
On Windows hosts, 6.5 (and earlier) versions of the SDP defined QNX_CONFIGURATION environment variable to be:
C:/Program Files (x86)/ QNX Software Systems
QNX license information was stored in this folder.
As newer versions of Windows were released, there were more
issues activating and accessing the QNX licenses file. Windows became
stricter with read/write/access permissions. There are several Knowledge
base entries that recommend how to work with Windows Vista, Windows 7
With Windows 10, it has been observed that regardless of how you
run the activation logic (admin, non-admin, full permissions on "QNX
Software Systems"), some customers see "License Check failure" after
completing the activation process.

Solution________________________________________________________________________
MOVE "QNX Software Systems" folder to a location that you are 100% sure you have read/write access.
MODIFY QNX_CONFIGURATION (it is probably a system level) environment variable to point to the new location.
LAUNCH a console, run "env|grep -i qnx" to ensure the
QNX_CONFIGURATION is pointing at the new location, run qnxactivate.exe.
The activation should succeed.
RUN "qcc" or launch Momentics to confirm.
If you get an error that you've exceeded your activation limit, please contact
corp-activate@qnx.com with your myQNX email and product serial number.
