  • Topic: io-media, mediafs
  • SDP: 6.4.1
  • Target: ARM

Recommendation
________________________________________________________________________

There was a design decision for io-media to simulate a 0:00 time event from mediafs devices when there is a track change. The reasoning for this was that most mediafs devices such as iPods never send 0:00 as the first time update.

The toggling of shuffle on an iPod will re-arrange the play-engine list causing a track change and as a result, a simulated 0:00 time event being sent from io-media.

Contact QNX for a patch and reference PR76229.
