QNX Announces Winners of the QNX Partner Network Awards

QNX 2008 Partner Network Awards of Excellence go to Adobe Systems, Freescale Semiconductor, and Kontron AG.

NUREMBERG, March 3, 2009 — QNX Software Systems today announced the winners of the 2008 QNX Partner Network Awards of Excellence. The awards recognize the invaluable contribution that partners make in addressing the evolving needs of the embedded market and the innovative ways in which they work with QNX Software Systems to drive business forward. This year, Adobe Systems, Freescale Semiconductor, and Kontron AG were singled out for recognition from a field of over 200 contributing members of the QNX ecosystem.

“With its innovative approach to technology and business models, Adobe Systems creates new ways for the embedded market to use Adobe products,” said Linda Campbell, director of strategic alliances at QNX Software Systems. “By working closely together, QNX and Adobe are revolutionizing the way that embedded developers design and deploy human machine interfaces.”

In selecting the winners, QNX Software Systems evaluated each company according to its contribution to the embedded market, technical innovation, alignment with QNX core businesses, and willingness to invest in moving joint solutions forward in the market.

“Freescale’s breadth of embedded products, combined with their outstanding third-party enablement team, has driven growth in all key QNX market segments,” said Romain Saha, automotive segment alliance manager at QNX Software Systems. “Their support for the recently announced QNX CAR initiative provides just one example of how QNX and Freescale work closely together to enable embedded development.”

“Kontron and QNX have worked closely to make QNX fastboot technology for Intel Atom systems widely available in the embedded market,” said Kroy Zeviar, business alliance manager at QNX Software Systems. “Additionally, their global infrastructure and ODM services provide customers worldwide with one-stop shopping for product development.”
