QNX Aviage Acoustic Processing Suite Named Finalist for 2008 Elektra Awards

OTTAWA, September 10, 2008 — QNX Software Systems, the market leader in operating systems and middleware for in-car telematics, infotainment, and navigation systems, today announced it has been named a finalist for the 2008 European Electronics Industry Elektra Awards. The awards annually recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations in the industry across Europe.

The QNX® Aviage®Acoustic Processing Suite was named as one of five finalists in the category of Embedded System Product of the Year. Finalists are selected by a panel of industry experts that represent thought leaders in each specific award category. Judging is based on innovations that set new standards and drive the industry forward. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on November 10, 2008, at the Hilton Munich Park in Munich, Germany.

The QNX Aviage Acoustic Processing Suite is an innovative software product that dramatically reduces the cost and improves the quality of handsfree systems for the automobile.
