8th International Conference "QNX-Russia-2004"

Saint Petersburg, Russia - October 4, 2004 - SWD Software, an official distributor of QNX Software Systems in Russia and former Soviet Union countries, announces that the 8th International Conference "QNX-Russia-2004" will be held November 17-18 at Pulkovskaya Hotel in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This annual event is dedicated to the QNX Real-Time Operation System as well as to embedding technologies based on the QNX RTOS, and is intended for Russian developers of realtime systems, embedded applications and intellectual devices.
"QNX-Russia" conference traditionally brings together developers, manufacturers and users of embedded realtime solutions and applications from a variety of branches of Russian science and industry. Companies working in areas where mission-critical applications are needed, such as industrial automation, telecommunications, medical equipment, military systems, etc., generally show a special interest in the conference. This is due to the high reliability of the QNX RTOS, field-proven by a long use in automation equipment, and due to its compliance with up-to-date information security requirements.
Representatives of QNX Software Systems Ltd. (Canada) and Empress Software Inc. (Canada), SWD Software's key partners, are expected to speak at the plenary session this year.
The conference provides its participants with a great opportunity not only to learn about the recent news and modern tendencies of the embedded technology world, but also to demonstrate their own achievements, share their experience and find answers to their questions.
