Fixed issues
This patch addresses the following issues:
- ldbootstrap has been fixed so that it no longer fails on Win32 (Ref# 20635)
- Support added to qcc for skipping the separate preprocessor stage added for the Intel C++ Compiler. You can explicitly request the preprocessor by using the -E or -P option to qcc. (Ref# 20955)
- qcc uses a temporary working directory instead of temporary files to facilitate the Intel C++ Compiler's ipo process. (Ref# 20785)
- Additional QNX Neutrino public system header files have had Intel C++ Compiler support added. (Ref# 20686)
- <varargs.h> has been deprecated for gcc-3.X, and the support for variable arguments in <stdarg.h> (and other supporting system header files) has been cleaned up. This lets the Intel C++ compiler's -gcc option work with <stdarg.h>. (Ref# 20981)
- Intel configuration files have been updated to support changes in qcc and to fix issues with building shared libraries. (Ref# 21173)
Known issues
If the IDE's build environment is set for a standard C/C++ project, and you build the project with the ICC8.0 compiler, the build will fail because of a backslash at the end of the path statement for the IA32Root system variable. (Ref# 21604)
Workaround: Do one of the following:
- Remove the \ from the path statement for this system variable.
You can do this through the Windows Control Panel; choose System Properties,
then the Advanced tab, then click Environmental variables.
Find the IA32Root variable in the Systems variables
list and remove the \ at the end of the path statement.
Or:
- In the IDE Navigator, right-click on the project and select Set QNX Build Environment, then click Next. Select X86 architecture, then click Next. Find the IA32Root variable in the Environment List and unselect it, then click Finish.
