  2. If you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7, disable User Account Control (UAC). (Ref# 77791).
  3. On Windows hosts, run cmd.exe; on Linux hosts, start a command shell.
  4. Download the patch-650SP1-4668-kernellibc.tar archive to your host environment from Developers > QNX Download Center > QNX Software Development Platform 6.5.x > QNX Software Development Platform 6.5 SP1 Kernel & Libc Patch [Patch ID 4668].

where download_path is the location of the patch file. For more information about applypatch, see its entry in the Utilities Reference.

Installing the updated symbol files (optional)

If you've installed the symbol files for QNX SDP 6.5 SP1, you should update them from the accompanying patch-650SP1-4668-kernellibc_debug.tar file that's in the Download area of our website. To install these files, continue from the steps above and do the following:

  1. Download patch-650SP1-4668-kernellibc_debug.tar from the Download area of our website into the working directory of your choice.
  2. Determine the base directory of your QNX SDP installation by using the qconfig command.
  3. cd base_directory/install
  4. tar -xvf path_to_working_dir/patch-650SP1-4668-kernellibc_debug.tar

The symbol files are installed in patches/650SP1-4668/debug. You can either replace the existing symbol files or direct the debugger to use the files in this directory.
