Modification of tracelogger generated file fails   ________________________________________________________________________ Applicable Environment ________________________________________________________________________ Topic: tracelogger, kev file modification SDP: 6.4.1 Target: All supported targets ________________________________________________________________________ Question ________________________________________________________________________ You maybe want to add or change data in the tracelogger file after creation. For example adding process name information after finishing trace logging in ring mode. However, tracelogger must be finished before touching the kev file. Else the data is missing or the kev file is corrupt. ________________________________________________________________________ Solution ________________________________________________________________________ Use waitpid(,, 0) to wait on tracelogger death. waitpid(,,WEXITED|WNOHANG ) returns too early and contacting data to the kev file fails. ________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: This entry has been validated against the SDP version listed above.
