Training and Education
Standard courses
All QNX training courses are hands-on, instructor led using real-world examples to give your development team the grounding they need in QNX best practices so that you get the most out of your investment. Hosted on or off-site.
Realtime Programming
Your engineers are new to QNX; they want to learn all they can to ensure they hit the ground running. This course reviews the features, services, and architecture of the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS with a focus on real-world problems and the techniques for solving them.
Developing, Debugging, and Analyzing Performance
Your developers have a general understanding of the QNX Neutrino RTOS but want to understand the integrated development environment (IDE) of the QNX® Momentics® Tool Suite. This course explores how to develop applications, debug complex problems, and analyze performance issues of complete systems.
Writing Drivers
Your developers have a general understanding of the QNX Neutrino RTOS; they simply want to write their own drivers. This course familiarizes them with various methods for writing different types of drivers in the QNX environment, providing them with hands-on exercises that apply the concepts introduced in the course.
Customized courses
QNX Software Systems offers customized courses tailored to your distinct project needs, your technical requirements, and your project-specific challenges. You can also create your own custom course by choosing from over 30 different modules. If you elect to host a training session on-site at your location, you will be responsible for setting up an appropriate classroom environment. We recommend that you allocate sufficient time for any necessary set-up requirements well in advance of the scheduled start date, as you may encounter hardware or installation issues that may take time to resolve. Class size is limited to a maximum of 20 students; however, in order to offer the best possible training experience, we recommend that class sizes should not exceed 15 students. Training is scheduled for maximum of 7 hours per day, usually between 9:00am and 5:00pm
On-site courses are $700.00 USD per student per day, with a total minimum training fee of $11,200.00 USD plus travel expenses. Please request a quote through your sales associate

Workshops
All QNX workshops are customer driven, based on the needs of your organization and the people you put in the classroom. They can be hosted on or off-site.
These workshops use some prepared material, but are primarily driven by whiteboard discussions.
Architectural Review Workshop
Your engineers are new to the QNX Neutrino RTOS. They want to better understand QNX architecture in order to optimize their implementations from the get go. This workshop session offers insights into our microkernel architecture, resource managers, IPC, and how you can best take advantage of these and other features.
Expert instruction; small class size; practical problem solving, and hands-on training mean you'll walk away from one of our workshops ready to apply QNX technology to your own real-world challenges. A short time spent in our classroom can save you months in development time.
