What's in this patch?

This patch contains the following binaries, installed under $QNX_HOST/ in the subdirectories for each supported host OS:

  • Windows
    • win32/x86/usr/bin/mkxfs.exe
    • win32/x86/usr/bin/mkefs.exe
    • win32/x86/usr/bin/mkifs.exe
    • win32/x86/usr/bin/mketfs.exe
  • QNX Neutrino
    • qnx6/x86/bin/mkxfs
  • Linux
    • linux/x86/usr/bin/mkxfs

On QNX Neutrino, Linux, and Solaris hosts, mkxfs is the binary for the mkefs, mketfs, and mkifs utilities.

Fixed issues

This patch addresses the following issues:

  • mkxfs now correctly parses for the ETFS buildfile attributes. (Ref# 24147)
  • The ETFS filesystem no longer faults in io_fdinfo(). (Ref# 24213)
  • mketfs now correctly embeds IFS image files on Windows hosts. (Ref# 25770)

Known issues

  • If you run mkefs and specify the type=fifo attribute, the command appears to work but creates an unloadable image. (Ref# 19214)
