QNX® Momentics® 6.2.1 PE - Renesas Camelot-Biscayne (SH7760) BSP - Install Notes

QNX® Momentics® 6.2.1 PE

Renesas Camelot-Biscayne (SH7760) BSP

Installation Note

Date of this edition: September 03, 2003

Target OS: QNX® Neutrino® 6.2.1

Host OS: Microsoft Windows XP/2K/NT4 SP6A, Sun Solaris 7/8, QNX Neutrino 6.2.1

For the latest information about this BSP, see the release notes.

Never use the QNX Software Installer through a phditto/phrelay session, because:
  • the installer can't detect multiple instances of itself through a phditto/phrelay session
  • when running the reboot script, the installer can try to shut down the system, but it doesn't know how to shut down phditto/phrelay sessions properly (phshutdown, which you normally use to reboot, does know how to handle these sessions).

Installation

If you've previously installed a binary package for this BSP, you must uninstall the old binary package before you can install the new binary package included in this source bundle.

Before you install this BSP, you must have already installed the following on a supported host platform targeting SHLE:
  • QNX Momentics PE 6.2.1
  • QNX Momentics PE 6.2.1 Supplemental

To install this BSP:

  1. Log onto the myQNX account area at the QNX Software Systems website (www.qnx.com). If you don't already have a myQNX account, please register now.
  2. Enter your Product Registration serial number and password from your License Certificate (see the upper right corner under the barcode on your certificate).
  3. Click Software Downloads.
  4. Select Board Support Packages
  5. Select Camelot-Biscayne (SH7760) Board Support Package from the list of updates for the QNX Momentics Professional Edition.
In the next step, you'll download a QPR file. Don't download the QPR file into a directory whose path contains spaces. For example, don't download the file into C:Documents and Settingsmy_useridDesktop.

  6. Download the appropriate QPR file:

    cambis_src-6.2.1.qpr (Source bundle)

  7. Remember the name of the directory that you downloaded the package into.

Windows and QNX Neutrino hosts

To install this BSP on Windows and QNX Neutrino hosts:

  1. Launch the QNX Installer and input the path to the downloaded package.
  2. Select the Camelot-Biscayne (SH7760) BSP package and select Install.
  3. Follow the instructions on your screen. You'll need your License Certificate in order to enter your license key.

qnxinstall download-dir/cambis_src-6.2.1.qpr

Solaris hosts

To install this BSP on a Solaris host:

  1. Run cl-installer.
  2. Type i to install. When prompted to select a repository to open, choose o (to open an "other" repository).

  4. Select the Camelot-Biscayne (SH7760) BSP package.

Documentation

Assuming you've installed your development suite, you'll find an extensive set of online documentation in HTML format. The "roadmap" page contains links to the various HTML booksets that accompany the OS (e.g. System Architecture, Programmer's Guide, Library Reference, Utilities Reference, etc.), as well as docs for BSPs, DDKs, etc.

You can find the docs for all BSPs under:
