Contents

Note: This new graphics driver update includes the contents of the previous one (i.e. QNX4-graphics_20050307.tar.gz). It provides an update to the ATI Radeon and Intel 830 drivers (i.e. Pg.radeon and Pg.i830) in order to add support for the following chipsets:
  • Intel 82915
  • ATI Radeon X300
  • ATI Radeon X600

Installation procedure

To install your graphics drivers:

  1. Download the graphics driver archive (QNX4-graphics_20051115.tar.gz).
  2. Backup the existing graphics drivers.
Note: If you wish to keep a copy of the existing drivers and utilities, you'll need to save them to a safe location first, to prevent them from being overwritten during installation.
        # cp -Rvc /qnx4/graphics/driver/* /backupdir

  3. Get the cksum to ensure that the binary is correct.
      # cksum QNX4-graphics_20051115.tar.gz
  4. Compare the result against the checksum posted on your myQNX account.
  5. Extract the archive with the updated drivers:
     # cd /
     # gzip -d <download-path>/QNX4-graphics_20051115.tar.gz
     # tar -xvof <download-path>/QNX4-graphics_20051115.tar
