New Neato BotVac Robot Vacuum Cleans Up with QNX Technology

Neato Robotics brings intelligent and powerful new family of home robot vacuums to consumers

OTTAWA, March 14, 2014 QNX Software Systems Limited, a global leader in software platforms for connected embedded systems, today announced that Neato Robotics has chosen the QNX Neutrino operating system as the software platform for the new Neato BotVac series of robot vacuums.

Neato BotVac robot vacuums use advanced technology and thoughtful design to vacuum homes thoroughly and methodically, making them the most intelligent and powerful home robot vacuums available anywhere. After evaluating other operating systems, Neato Robotics chose the QNX OS for its superior realtime performance and efficient use of system hardware, as well as for its flexibility to support new product features.
