Known issues
- The GPU may reset when you are running graphics-intensive applications. (Ref# J2893321)
-
You must enable the DP_PWR circuitry when using a display port (DP) to HDMI dongle that doesn't have its own external power source
(e.g., IOGears DisplayPort to HDMI adapter). (Ref# J2893298)
On the supported Jacinto7 platform, external circuitry is available to enable power to the DP_PWR pin of the DP connector. By default, power to the DP connector is disabled. You must enable the external circuitry by setting the appropriate port of the IO expander of the Jacinto7 platform using I2C:
# isend -a0x20 -n/dev/i2c1 0x03 0xfe
-
The Jacinto7 WFD driver is set up to work with the default BSP HDMI/DP pixel clocks of 148.5MHz/119MHz. (Ref# J2892627)
To use different pixel clocks, you must:
- Modify your BSP's startup (e.g., hw_init.c) to set the pixel clock frequency to a new value.
- Update the wfdcfg library to specify the port extension WFDCFG_EXT_PIXEL_CLOCK_KHZ that reflects the new frequency value. For more information, see the Updating Wfdcfg source (adding extensions) chapter of the OpenWF Configuration Developer's Guide.
