EtherCAT Programmable Logic Controller Reference Platform
QNX, Freescale, ISaGRAF® and koenig-pa GmbH (KPA) partnership provides a PLC Reference Platform for easier industrial control development.
The new Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Reference Platform is equipped to ease development of industrial control systems. The PLC Reference Platform implements the KPA EtherCAT® Master protocol with an ISaGRAF PLC Firmware and QNX Neutrino® RTOS on the high-performance Freescale QorIQ® P1025 processor. It is supported by powerful development tools from all four companies, including the KPA EtherCAT Studio, ISaGRAF 6 Application Workbench, QNX Momentics® Tool Suite, and Freescale CodeWarrior® Development Suite.
QNX and Freescale have jointly supported many development programs over the last 10 years and continue to develop scalable hardware and software solutions to keep pace with the growth in multiprocessing and the increase in industrial connectivity options. QNX has optimized BSPs to take advantage of Freescale’s Altivec® Vector processing engine, DataPath Acceleration Engine for multicore and the Dual Precision Floating Point unit. Our product and tool offerings help to minimize the design complexity and bring your next application to life.
