STEINHOFF Automation was founded in 1992 with a focus on PC based automation solutions with fieldbus technology, industrial communication and graphical programming in the context of distributed real-time technology. STEINHOFF supports both QNX4 and QNX6 product lines.

STEINHOFF‘s product suite DACHS® supports well tested I/O and Fieldbus Boards for advanced automation solutions with newest technologies for industrial communication, object oriented, and function block based programming and GUIs for distributed and embedded control systems. These offerings are helping customers realizing reliable, flexible and cost effective control solutions with as many industrial software- and hardware-STANDARDS as possible including the most important fieldbuses like PROFINET-IRT, Ethernet PowerLink (EPL), PROFIBUS-DP, EtherCAT, CAN, CANopen, INTERBUS, LON, and ASI, as well as programming standards like IEC61131 and IEC61499.

All DACHS fieldbus APIs are also available as function block libraries for integrating in STEINHOFF's graphical "all-in-one" programming and GUI tool DACHSview-SDL. C-programs can be integrated in DACHSview, too!
