Tail-f Systems and QNX Software Systems Announce ConfD for QNX Neutrino Operating System

Carrier-grade network management software now available on leading realtime operating system

STOCKHOLM, Sweden and BOSTON, MA – October 9, 2007 – Tail-f Systems and QNX Software Systems today announced an alliance to make ConfD network management software available on the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS). ConfD allows developers of networking equipment to rapidly build carrier-grade network management applications that meet the needs of demanding telecom and enterprise customers. Joint Tail-f and QNX customers will also benefit from the fault resistance and scalability capabilities built into the QNX Neutrino RTOS.

Tail-f's ConfD software is the only XML-based tool kit that allows developers to automatically render critical northbound interfaces (CLI, Web, NETCONF, and SNMP) from a single data model. ConfD is designed from the ground up to meet the rigorous requirements of carrier-grade networks for performance, scalability, high availability, and security. Customers can choose among different modules of ConfD to extend an existing network management system or to implement new green field applications.
