QNX® SDP 7.1 Command Line Tools and Library Update: Release Notes

Target OS: This update is compatible with targets that are running QNX® Neutrino® 7.1.

Host OS: To install this update, you must have installed the QNX Software Development Platform 7.1 on one of the following development hosts:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, or Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
  • macOS version 10.14, 10.15
  • Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 64-bit or Ubuntu Desktop 18.04 LTS 64-bit or Ubuntu Desktop 20.04 LTS 64-bit, on x86_64 processors (QNX SDP isn't supported on Linux on ARM processors)

To see a list of the contents of a package, right-click it in the QNX Software Center, choose Properties, and then click Package Contents.

Features

  • Added a delay option for the top utility.

  • The top utility now supports showing thread names.

  • Support for Unidentified Behaviour Sanitizer (ubsan) in GCC8.

  • A new attribute has been added to mkefs to support on-disk alignment when formatting.

Fixed issues

  • FLT_HAS_SUBNORM, DBL_HAS_SUBNORM and LDBL_HAS_SUBNORM are now defined for C++. (Ref# J2878067)
  • We fixed a possible division by zero implementation in libm. (Ref# J2888221)
  • Some patches have been added to the version of GNU Binutils that ships with the QNX Software Development Platform. (Ref# J2875624)
  • We corrected an unhandled instruction in Valgrind. (Ref# J2878782)
  • The default QNX C++ standard library (libc++) now recognizes reinterpret_pointer_cast as a member of std. (Ref# J2878628)
  • We fixed an error that would cause a Valgrind assertion failure. (Ref# J2878779)
