Using the VMware image of a QNX Neutrino runtime system

The 650SP1-VM.tar archive contains a VMware image of a QNX Neutrino 6.5.0 Service Pack 1 runtime system. It's also available on the installation DVD.

Installing the image

To install this image, do the following:

  1. Download 650SP1-VM.tar from our website.
  2. Extract the VMware target from the tar file. For example, on Windows, open a Windows Explorer window, double-click on the 650SP1-VM.tar file, and then extract the 650SP1-VM folder to some location on your hard drive (e.g. My Documents).
  3. To launch, either:
    • Start VMware Player, browse to where you saved the 650SP1-VM folder, and then choose 650SP1-VM.vmx.

      Or:

    • Navigate to where you saved the 650SP1-VM folder, and then double-click the VMware configuration file, 650SP1-VM.vmx.
  4. If VMware Player displays a dialog saying that the virtual machine was moved, select Create and click OK.
