Derek Kuhn

Vice President, Sales and Marketing, QNX Software Systems

As vice president of sales and marketing, Derek Kuhn is responsible for developing strategies that increase market share and drive revenue growth in QNX Software Systems' core and emerging markets

Prior to joining QNX, Mr. Kuhn held senior positions at Alcatel-Lucent, including vice president of emerging technology and media, and vice president of strategy for the Americas region in the office of the CTO/CMO. As a global business lead, he was responsible for the company's ecosystem of emerging technologies, including 4G mobile connectivity.

He also conceived and led the ng Connect Program, a multi-industry initiative dedicated to the development and rapid deployment of the next generation of broadband services based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and other ultra high bandwidth technologies. As such, he drove the development of the original LTE Connected Car, which was launched by the program in 2009 - the most advanced connected car at the time.

Mr. Kuhn sits on the Board of Directors of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA).

From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Kuhn served as chairman of the Broadband Content Delivery Forum, where he helped grow the organization to twice its original size. From 2008 to 2010, he sat as a board member of the University of Southern California's Entertainment Technology Center in the School of Cinematic Arts.

In 2010, Mr. Kuhn won Alcatel-Lucent's CEO award; in 2005, he won a Forty under 40 award from the Ottawa Business Journal. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Intakhab Khan

Division Head, Audi Infotainment Tec Center China

Mr. Khan has a computer science background and a rich experience with in-Car Infotainment Systems, spending over 6 years at Audi and 7 years at Siemens AG. Mr. Khan has an exceptional track record in his 14 years of software management in senior positions, and core competencies in business process re-engineering and providing innovative technological solutions. Mr. Khan is driven by new challenges and his desire to be successful in all endeavours. Mr. Khan immensely enjoys navigating all aspects of complex projects.

Yongqi Yang

Executive VP, AutoNavi Information Technology

Mr. Yongqi Yang has served as AutoNavi's Executive Vice President of Automotive Business since February 2011. Mr. Yang was the Company's chief technology officer from March 2007 until January 2011. Prior to joining AutoNavi, Mr. Yang served as vice president of engineering at Roxbeam, a startup company funded by Softbank, from May 2005 to Feburary 2007. From March 1996 to May 2005, Mr. Yang held various technology and management positions at Microsoft. While at Microsoft, he was actively involved in the development of the Windows CE operating system. As the development manager of Microsoft's mobile and embedded product unit, he led the development efforts for the first Windows CE product for the China market, the Chinese version of Palm PC. As a group program manager, he managed overall planning, design, development and the relase of the first Microsoft set top box product for the China market, Venus. Mr. Yang also helped found the Microsoft China Technology Center, and managed the technical relationships with Microsoft hardware partners in China. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Yang worked at Adobe System Inc. as a computer scientist from 1992 to 1996. Mr. Yang recieved a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Zhejiang University in China and master's degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering from Washington State University.

T. John Koo

Professor, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Science

T. John Koo is Professor and Director of the Center for Embedded Software Systems, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Professor Koo received the US National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2005 and the Distinguished M.Phil. Thesis Award of the Faculty of Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 1994. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, USA, in 2000, and the M.Phil. degree in Information Engineering and the B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, China, in 1994 and 1992, respectively. In 2012, Professor Koo received the Certificate for Overseas High-Caliber Personnel in Shenzhen and 2012 Distinguished Young Scientist Award of Scientific Chinese, the China Association for Science & Technology.

Jin Xu

Global Education Program Manager, QNX Software Systems

Jin Xu is the education program manager and China distribution manager for QNX Software Systems. Prior to joining QNX, Jin worked for Nortel and the China Academy of Space Technology. Jin is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and holds a Master's of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Tong Zhao

Vice President and General Manager of Infotainment China, Harman International

Tong has over 20 years of experience including roles at Motorola and most recently as General Manager of Nav2, a joint venture of Nokia and NavInfo focused on map database technologies. Tong holds a MS from Governors State University and an MBA from the University of Illinois.

Weiyu Liang

Director, Engineering Services APAC, QNX Software Systems

Weiyu Liang joined QNX Software Systems in 2012 and is responsible for building the engineering team that delivers professional services to QNX customers in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Liang has a wide range of software engineering experience in the automotive industry, including car navigation, Bluetooth Hands-Free, ASR, and TTS. Prior to QNX, he worked for Nuance, Harman, and Pioneer.

Mr. Liang holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai University. He is fluent in English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese.

Suofei Li

Senior Business Development Manager, Baidu

As Senior Business Development Manager for Baidu's automotive LBS segment, Suofei is responsible for building, developing, and maintaining relationships in the automotive industry. She works with the top OEM brands, key technology providers and application partners to bring Baidu's value into the modern vehicle.

Andrew Poliak

Director, Automotive Business Development, QNX Software Systems

As director of business development for QNX Software Systems' automotive market segment, Andrew Poliak is responsible for building, developing, and maintaining relationships in the automotive value chain.

Automakers, Tier one auotmotive suppliers, and automotive industry analysts all recognize Mr. Poliak as an automotive thought leader. He is a founding member of multiple consortia, speaks frequently at automotive telematics events, and advises analysts on trends and issues in the automotive market. He holds patents for a framework that consolidates access to multimedia devices, and for social in-vehicle navigation via images encoded with location data. He also helped define and launch the QNX CAR Platform for Infotainment, which significantly reduces the upfront engineering needed to develop connected in-vehicle systems.

Mr. Poliak holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems from the University of Washington.
