ENDIAN_RET64()

Return an endian-swapped 64-bit value

Synopsis:

#include <gulliver.h>

uint64_t ENDIAN_RET64( uint64_t num );

Arguments:

num
The number you want to convert.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The ENDIAN_RET64() macro returns the endian-swapped value of num.

Returns:

The endian-swapped value of num.

Examples:

Swap the endianness of a value:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <gulliver.h>
#include <inttypes.h>

int main( void )
{
    uint64_t val = 0x1234deadbeef5678;
    
    printf( "0x%016llx = 0x%016llx\n",
            val, ENDIAN_RET64( val ) );

    return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}

This prints:

0x1234deadbeef5678 = 0x7856efbeadde3412
