posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy()

Set the spawn-schedpolicy attribute of a spawn attributes object

Synopsis:

#include <posix_spawnattr.h>

int posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy(
       posix_spawnattr_t *attrp,
       int policy);

Arguments:

attrp

A spawn attribute object.

policy

The scheduling policy for the attributes object. Use POSIX_SPAWN_SETSCHEDPARAM to set the scheduling policy for flags.

Library:

libc

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy() function sets the spawn-schedpolicy attribute in an initialized attributes object referenced by attrp.

The posix_spawnattr_getschedpolicy() and posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy() functions are part of the Spawn and Process Scheduling options, and don't need to be provided on all implementations.

Returns:

Upon successful completion, posix_spawnattr_setschedpolicy() returns zero; otherwise, an error number is returned to indicate the error (errno is set).

Errors:

EINVAL

For any invalid parameter.

ENOMEM

Insufficient memory available to create the child process.

EOK

Success.
