This chapter explains how to generate a target images for a QNX product, such as
QNX Platform for ADAS.
These instructions assume that you have already downloaded and installed your product reference
image, as instructed in the Getting Started guide for your product, and that,
therefore, you already have in the correct locations on your system the QNX SDP
6.5 SP1, the BSP for your target board, the product installation, and all required supporting
technologies (e.g., Screen) and patches.
Note:
- Unless otherwise specified, the instructions in this chapter assume that you are working in
the command line on a Linux host.
- For more information about the target board and the QNX BSP for this
board, see the User's Guide for your BSP.
Prerequisites
The components you need when you build a target image aren't the same for every QNX
product. Typically, you'll need:
- the QNX SDP release that supports your product
- the BSP for your QNX Neutrino release for your board and
QNX SDP release
- any patches required for your QNX SDP release (see the QNX Download Center)
- the patches listed in your product (e.g., QNX Platform for ADAS) Release
Notes
- the binaries for your product, such as QNX Platform for ADAS
- the binaries for QNX supporting technologies, such as Screen
- any patches required for these products and supporting technologies
- supporting third-party technologies, such as codecs, as required
- the appropriate version of Python
Release notes
See the Release Notes for your product release for the most current information
about:
- supported board variants and peripheral devices
- components you may require that are not included in the
standard QNX Neutrino SDP, or in your product-specific package (e.g., in your QNX Platform for ADAS package)
- the version of Python you need installed on your system
