Get a reference image

You can get the platform-specific reference image for the QNX Platform for ADAS and transfer it to your target board.

To download a reference image:

1. If you haven't installed your reference image using the QNX Software Center, install the QNX Platform for ADAS 2.0 Reference Image for the R-Car V3M Starter board. We recommend that you look at the release notes before you install the reference image. To see the release notes, use these steps:
   • In the QNX Software Center, on the Available or Installed tab, navigate to and right-click your reference image, and then select Properties.
   • In the Properties window, on the General Information pane, click the link beside Release Notes.

   You should be redirected to the release notes on the QNX website as long as you're logged in with your myQNX account.

2. Navigate to the location where the QNX Software Center downloaded the reference image to your host system. You should see a ZIP file with the name, ADAS_Images_SDP7.rcarv3m3.sd.ext.evaluation.img.buildnumber.zip in your $QNX_BASE/targetImages/adas directory. For example, $QNX_BASE/targetImages/adas/ADAS_Images_SDP7.rcarv3m3.sd.ext.evaluation.img.1420.zip.
3. Extract the ZIP file to a convenient location on your computer. In the directory you extracted the ZIP file, you should see the following files:
   • rcarv3m3-sd.img (the reference image)
   • program_v3m (the image-loading utility for this reference image)
