Supported hardware configurations

There are a number of sensors and cameras that you can connect to your board.

Supported hardware boards

The reference image runs on the following Renesas R-Car H3 Starter Kit Premier, which is simply known as “R-Car H3 Starter.”

You can also use the ADAS View Solution Kit from Renesas. This kit includes the R-Car H3 Starter that's already connected to the extension board with four AMI MINICube RDACM21 cameras.

Supported cameras and sensors

The R-Car H3 Starter board can be connected to multiple cameras and sensors. To connect the cameras, the default configuration uses four (up to eight) AMI MINICube RDACM21 cameras (sensor camers) that are attached to the ADAS View Solution Kit. Alternatively, you can also use GigE Vision compliant cameras or USB cameras. For USB, the board supports only USB 2.0 speeds so you'll be limited to 720p resolution at 10 frames per second.

Note: You should also look at the Release Notes for the reference image to see if there are any limitations for specific configurations.

For QNX Platform for ADAS, this board also supports radar, GPS, and lidar sensors. Since the R-Car H3 Starter board only has USB 2.0 interfaces, adapters may be required for sensors that have a serial or CAN interface.
