The QNX Platform for ADAS is built on the QNX Neutrino RTOS,
which is a highly available, secure, realtime operating system.
The QNX Platform for ADAS includes vision and sensor capabilities, utilities,
communication protocols, and integrations with third-party software, which you use to
build an advanced driver assistance system.
You also can use vision-processing for this product.

Installing the product
To get started, you must first have the
QNX Software Center
installed on your system. For information on the version to use, see
the release notes for the Typical Configuration. You then use
QNX Software Center to
install the following software components on your host system:

- QNX Software Development Platform 7.0.
- QNX Platform for ADAS 2.0 - Typical Configuration (or
QNX Platform for ADAS 2.0 - Locked Typical
Configuration)
- The reference image for a target that you want to use. For more
information, see Working with reference images
chapter in this guide.
- You can install different Hardware Support packages based on the
hardware platform you want to develop on. The Hardware Support
packages install the necessary image generation tools,
hardware-specific components for generating an image,
and the board support package BSP.
