The default image is set up to run the Camera MUX 2x2 example application and demonstrates how a system boots to immediately show a video stream from 4 CSI2 cameras. These are referred to as sensor cameras.
Before you boot the reference image on the S32V board, you must connect the required hardware. For information on how to connect your cameras for the reference image, see the “Connect cameras” section in this guide.

Setting up the S32V board to use the reference image
Connect your S32V board to:
- a Lilliput 10" display, using the HDMI port on the S32V board
- a micro USB-USB cable for access to a console window
- the power supply that came from the hardware vendor
- a gigabit multimedia serial link deserializer to connect the 4 cameras
- 4 CSI2 cameras
- an ethernet cable to connect to your network
Booting the reference image
After you have transferred the image to an SD card, use it to boot your board. For more information about putting an image on a SD card, see Prepare an SD card with an image in the Install and Boot a Reference image chapter of this guide.
- Insert the SD card into the board's SD card slot.
- Flip power switch (beside the power connector) to power on your S32V board.
After the image boots, it runs the Camera MUX 2x2 example application by default. If you want to run another application or change the configuration to use other cameras, see the Use the Reference Image chapter of this guide.
