fcat

Display compressed (frozen) files (UNIX)

Syntax:

fcat [filename...]

Options:

See freeze for a full listing.

Description:

The fcat command is equivalent to freeze -cd. See the freeze utility for details.


Note: The freeze, melt, and fcat compression utilities will eventually become deprecated in favor of the GNU zip suite, which consists of gzip, gunzip, and zcat. The freeze suite of utilities will continue to be provided for quite some time before being eliminated completely.
