getppid()

Get the parent process ID

Synopsis:

#include <unistd.h>

pid_t getppid( void );

This function is declared in <process.h>, which <unistd.h> includes.

Use the -l c option to qcc to link against this library. This library is usually included automatically.

Description:

The getppid() function gets the process ID of the parent of the calling process.

Returns:

The calling process's parent's process ID.
