QNX and Kotei Navi & Data to Provide Localized In-Vehicle Navigation in Japan

Kotei Navi & Data to integrate its navigation engine into the QNX CAR Platform for Infotainment

TOKYO, Telematics Japan, October 8, 2013QNX Software Systems Limited, a global leader in software platforms for in-car electronics, today announced that Kotei Navi & Data, a provider of software development services and navigation software solutions throughout Japan, will integrate its navigation engine into the QNX CAR™ Platform for Infotainment.

The QNX CAR Platform for Infotainment is based on QNX® software technology proven in tens of millions of vehicles. Designed for flexibility, the platform supports a rich choice of application environments and smartphone platforms, as well as a comprehensive set of pre-integrated components to help automotive companies build connected, media-rich infotainment systems.

Kotei Navi & Data’s software solutions and navigation engine are deployed in numerous in-car systems. Kotei Navi & Data’s customers include Nissan Motors, Hitachi Group, Toshiba Group, Clarion, Denso, and Edia.
