Create a deployed installation of QNX SDP

The “Creating Deployed Installations of QNX SDP” chapter provides details on how to deploy an installation of the QNX Software Development Platform.

When creating the initial QNX SDP installation that will form the basis of your deployed installation, make sure to install the Floating License Tools package. Download the Floating License Management Guide (http://www.qnx.com/download/group.html?programid=30391) and see the chapter on configuring development hosts for details on installing the package.

When creating the deployed version of the QNX SDP installation, note the following:

Make sure that you have an appropriate license, as described in the “1. Check whether you have an applicable license” section of the “Creating Deployed Installations of QNX SDP” chapter. The examples described in the following sections use a continuous integration build server license.
To create the deployed installation, you can use either the GUI or the command line of the QNX Software Center. Here, for example, is a command line for a standard QNX SDP installation deployment:
```
qnxsoftwarecenter_clt -deploySdpInstallation ~/qnx710 –deployLicense license_key 
   -flexLicenseServer 27000@192.168.0.1 -installationDeployAs ~/deployed_qnx710
```
While the Ubuntu Docker image could contain the QNX Momentics IDE, the image doesn’t support a GUI environment. Thus, you cannot run the IDE within the Docker container.
