The HTML5 HMI layer includes the Browser Engine, Auto SDK, and Application Management.
Browser Engine
The Browser Engine has rich support for new features such as canvas, WebSocket, session storage, offline apps, worker
threads, DOM improvements, audio and video tags, and WebGL.
HTML5 application model
The HTML5 application framework provides the necessary additions to the Browser Engine to allow it to support full-fledged
applications.
Application management
The Application management capability (also known as UI Core) provides control of the application lifecycle: starting,
switching, activating, sleeping, and terminating. It also provides a means of restricting the services that applications
can use to a preselected set. UI Core includes Screen, a component that allows multiple applications built with disparate
technologies to share the same physical display real estate.
