Obtaining the development tools

To obtain and set up the tools you need for HTML5 development, do the following:
  1. Locate WebWorks for the QNX CAR platform at Foundry 27.
  2. Download the zip archive and extract it to your development folder. WebWorks is now ready for use.
  3. If necessary, download and install Google Chromium to your development computer.
  4. Locate the Ripple emulator for QNX CAR platform at Foundry 27.
  5. Download the zip archive and extract it to your development folder.
  6. From Chromium, open Settings > Extensions . Check the box marked Developer Mode, and then click on Load Unpacked Extension.
  7. Select the extracted Ripple folder and load this as an extension. You should see a Ripple button added to your browser’s toolbar. Ripple is now ready for use.
  8. Obtain a web server of your choice (avoid the file:/// protocol).

When you have completed these tasks, you have obtained all the tools necessary for HTML5 development.
