Depending on the complexity and stage of your program, the IDE can generate an overwhelming number of errors. But you can customize the Problems view so you'll see only the errors you want to see; choose Configure Contents... from the Problems view's menu.

The more options you select, the more errors and warnings the IDE displays in the Problems view.
