The QNX Neutrino Wi-Fi resources have been updated to work with io-sock.
This includes the wpa_cli, wpa_supplicant, wpa_passphrase, hostapad, and hostapad_cli utilities. The features and options for WiFi utilities have not changed from the io-pkt versions. For information on how to use them, see the QNX SDP 7.1 Utilities Reference. (See Networking utilities and services for a full list of updated and discontinued networking resources.)
In addition to supporting native FreeBSD WiFi drivers (such as devs-iwm.so), io-sock supports a driver for Cypress DHD PCIE-based WLAN devices (see devs-qwdi_dhd_pcie-version.so).
The methods for mounting and unmounting a driver, including a WiFi driver, have changed for io-sock. For instructions, see Starting io-sock and Driver Management.
