devnp-virtio.so

Driver for Virtio networking

Syntax:

io-pkt-variant -d virtio [option[,option...]] ...

where variant is v4-hc or v6-hc.

Runs on:

QNX Neutrino

Targets:

x86, x86_64

Options:

irq=N
The IRQ of the interface. The default is automatically detected on supported hardware.
mac=XXXXXXXXXXXX
The MAC address of the controller. The default is automatically detected on supported hardware.

Description:

The devnp-virtio.so driver supports the Virtio network interface exported by hypervisors that follow the Virtio standard. Its interface names are in the form vtX, where X is an integer.

Note: The network drivers don't put entries into the /dev namespace, so a waitfor command for such an entry won't work properly in buildfiles or scripts. Use if_up -p instead; for example, if_up -p vt0.

Examples:

Start the v4 TCP/IP variant of io-pkt using the devnp-virtio.so driver:

io-pkt-v6-hc -d virtio
ifconfig vt0 192.0.2.1
